The African Union (AU), through its International Centre for the Education of Girls and Women in Africa (AU-CIEFFA), has partnered with ImpactHER, a non-profit organization working to empower women entrepreneurs in Africa, to launch a training program under the theme “#AfricaEducatesHer – Digital Skills for All: Bridging the Gender Gap in STEAM, Financial Literacy, and Entrepreneurship.”
The two institutions have launched a call for applications for this training. It is open to people of all genders with African nationality, residing on the continent or in the diaspora, as well as teachers. Applicants must demonstrate leadership skills, have access to a good internet connection and a device (computer, smartphone, etc.), and have a good understanding of one of the training languages: English, French, or Portuguese.
This training aims to address the challenges faced by young women and men in Africa, particularly in the fields of STEAM, digital literacy, financial literacy, and entrepreneurship. It also aims to strengthen the capacity of teachers to effectively teach digital culture and STEAM subjects.
The training will begin in September. The deadline for applications is August 16th.
